Your field of work
Warehouse logistics specialists work in industrial, commercial and forwarding companies as well as for other logistics service providers. Their work tasks include all warehouse logistics activities.
Your professional skills
- participate in logistical planning and organizational processes
- Accept goods and check delivery on the basis of the accompanying documents
- Forwarding and transporting goods to the company’s destination
- Unpacking goods and sorting and storing them according to economic principles in compliance with the warehouse regulations
- Carry out stock checks and inventory maintenance measures
- Picking and packing goods for consignments and assembling them into loading units
- Mark, label and secure consignments in accordance with legal requirements
- Draw up loading lists/loading plans in compliance with loading regulations
- Load consignments into means of transport on the basis of accompanying documents, stow them and apply sealing regulations
- Process shipping and accompanying documents
- assist in the preparation of route plans and carry out shipping records
- plan, organise and monitor the use of work and materials handling equipment
- use company information and communication systems, standard software and workplace-related software
- communicate and cooperate with preceding and subsequent functional areas
- work in a team and customer-oriented manner
- use specialist foreign language skills
- observe the principles of safety and health protection at work, environmental protection and the rational use of energy
- cooperate in quality assurance measures
Your requirements
- Good physical condition
- organizational skills and diligence (e.g. allocating loading and unloading times and storage locations, correctly assembling deliveries for dispatch)
- spatial awareness (e.g. stowing goods in the warehouse taking into account type of goods, composition, volume and weight)
- prudence and sense of responsibility (e.g. when operating conveyor systems or lifting equipment, when transporting and storing hazardous materials)
